A final point: you'll need to have a mailto: formatter software utility to decode your mailto responses. When you receive the results of the mailto: form in your email, it will look like this:

seating=counter&burger=on&fries=on& drinks=Tea&additional=side+of+slaw&request=thanks%21

Not exactly light reading material, and the more complex your form, the more gobbledegook you'll get. To decode this, you'll need to download and install a utility that will format the results of the mailto: form. Once decoded, the same file will look like this:

counter
on
on
Tea
side of slaw
thanks!

If you're looking for a Windows utility to decode your mailto: forms, search Shareware.Com using mailto or mtf as the search form. You don't want a Java app, or anything fancy. Look for programs named Web Parse, Form Reader, Mailto Formatter, or (for the Mac) Drop Formatter.

Also for the Mac, you can visit Doug Jacobson's site and download the InFORMer. There is a second Mailto: Formatter you can find for the Mac, called the Mailto Convertor. Q and D Software also offers a shareware version of its form making software and form decoder.
