The project
CAKE Nightclub is on Saddlebag Trail in Old Town Scottsdale, open Thursday through Sunday until 2 AM. It's a pink-and-purple room of neon, floral ceilings and chandeliers, with DJs, aerial performers and bottle presentations that light up with sparklers.
For a club like CAKE, the website's main job is filling VIP tables. We designed and built a site that opens on CAKE's own video and keeps the VIP line and the booking button on every page, with the event calendar one click away.
The events
The upcoming events page runs on a Mr. Black calendar, so each night shows up as its own flyer with the date, the hours and a Book Now button. Weekly nights like Cake Thursdays and Cake Sundays sit next to special weekends like Halloween.
The club's team adds events in Mr. Black and they appear on the website, with nothing to update by hand.
Mobile-first
Nights out get planned on a phone. On mobile, a bar along the bottom of every page shows the VIP number with Call Now and Text Now buttons. Text Now opens a message to the VIP host that's already started, and Book Now stays at the top of the screen.
VIP and private events
The VIP Table Service page lays out the steps: pick a date, complete the form and a VIP host confirms within 24 hours. It also answers the questions hosts hear every night, from minimum spends and table sizes to the dress code and walk-ins.
Private events have their own page and inquiry form, asking for group size, date and time up front. Bachelor and bachelorette parties get a page of their own too, with packages for groups of six to 20 and more.
The night out
Groups planning a Scottsdale weekend look for advice first, so CAKE's News & Press section publishes guides for them: bottle service in Old Town, bachelor and bachelorette party planning, birthday nights and girls' nights out. The guides link back to VIP table booking.
The footer covers the rest, with hours, the address and directions, both phone numbers, gift cards and the Riot Rewards sign-up for news and birthday offers.
The room
The site is built on CAKE's own photography and video of the club, so the pages look like the room does at midnight.
